My First TPT item, Bloglovin, & Giveaway

I did it.  I joined TpT and created my first product!  I am so excited to join the TpT world, and I am also humbled to be among such brilliant creators of classroom activities and units.  It might take me awhile to get more products listed but I'm hard at work!

Check out my first product here at my TpT store!
If you purchase it, I'd love to get some feedback from you, and to get a rating from you on my TpT store.  Thanks in advance!

Also, remember to start following me with Bloglovin!  The button is on the sidebar to the right!

One more thing..... I'm participating in Kelly's Blogiversary at An Apple for the Teacher!  I'm donating my Word Wall Sets.  Go join her giveaway HERE!

Kindergarten Friends Book

I'm really starting to plan out activities for next year in Kindergarten... at least for the beginning of the year.  I really liked this pin I found....

...... and it inspired me to create a Kindergarten Friends Book for the first week of school.  The plan is to have each student's picture on the left side of each page, and their name printed in the top box, then students will copy their classmates' names on each page in the bottom box to complete their book.  Here's an example.

If you'd like a copy, download it here for free!  I always like to hear what my readers think and know who grabs it, so if you do please leave me a comment and let me know!

Word Wall Card Sets & Freebie

I think Word Walls are such a great resource for students.  I have to admit though, I did not have a Word Wall in my second grade class this year.  I have always had them in my first grade classes though, and I have really been thinking about how I want mine to look next year in Kindergarten.  Yes.  Kindergarten.  I posted about my move to Kindergarten in an earlier post.  I am both scared and excited.

I was inspired by this cute word wall on Pinterest.
So I began a few word wall templates.  I have not used them yet, as I created them this summer, so I'm hoping they are a good useable size and go with my colors next year.  In honor of my 1 Year Blogiversary Giveaway, I am giving everyone this Word Wall Card set as a FREEBIE!  Just download them here.

Set 1
Then I played a little more and changed some things to come up with these sets.

Set 2
Set 3
Set 4
Set 5

AND I am also giving some lucky people their choice of any of the sets I created and included in this post.  So the first three people to comment on this post will get their choice of word wall sets!  Be sure to tell me which set you prefer and include your email.

Remember that my Blogiversary Giveaway is going until June 17th.  Winners will be announced June 18th.  If you haven't yet, go check it out here on yesterday's post.  I had some wonderful blogger friends donate!

Blogiversary Giveaway!!

I started my blog a year ago this June.  I was so inspired by all of the great blogs I was reading and the ideas that were being shared.  For me, starting a blog wasn't to get attention or a bunch of followers, but to voice my ideas and opinions and give back to the blog world.  So here I am a year later.  I made it.  This far at least.  So I am having my first (finally) giveaway to celebrate my first year of blogging!

I don't have a TPT or TN store at this time, so I can't offer free items from there, but I have created a lot of activities that I have shared on my blog as freebies.  So my offer for the winner is to choose any three items from my blog that I can customize for you.  So you pick them, and I will use any wording/fonts/colors that you want so that you can use them in your classroom.

Prizes

1. Three items from my blog for me to customize for you

2. Brigid at Bits of First Grade is donating her Persuasive Writing Packet from her TPT store

3.  Megan at I Teach What's Your SuperPower is donating one item from her TPT store (Winner's Choice)

Thanks so much to Brigid and Megan for helping me out with my first giveaway!

Winners will be announced on June 18th!

End of the Year Activities & Freebies

I might be a little late for many of you but with the end of the school year craziness I am just now getting around to posting about my end of the year activities.  Here are some activities I did with my second graders the last week or so of school.

Find Someone Who
I use this activity throughout the school year as a way to get my kiddos up, moving around, and interacting with classmates.  This version has descriptions that are specific for my class and school so you probably won't be able to use this exact one.  But if you want, you can download it!

Summer Bucket List
Last summer I posted about the Summer Bucket List I use.  I changed a few items on the List to use for this year.  Feel free to grab a copy!

End of the Year Election
Last year I had my students vote for each other for students awards.  We voted and tallied together.  This year I had them vote for each other on the sheet below.  I gave them a copy of our class list so they could keep track of using each classmate only once.  Then I collected their sheets, tallied up the votes, and made their awards on decorated paper.  You can grab a free copy of the Election page if it works for you!
Download for FREE here

I gave out the student awards on the second to last day of school.  I was inspired by Pinterest to create a red carpet for the students to walk down to accept their award.  They LOVED walking down the red carpet!

My blog anniversary is coming up in just a few short weeks.  I never got around to having a follower giveaway so I'm thinking about doing a "blog-iversary" giveaway!  Nothing too huge, but if any of you fellow bloggers would be willing to help me out with donating items, comment or email me to let me know!  Thanks in advance!
