I'm just popping in to announce my Syllables pack giveaway winner.... Cherie!

I have sent you an email to try out my Syllables pack for FREE.  Thank you to everyone who participated.

Spring Break and Syllables Giveaway

So it's my Spring Break!  But it's also the first time in three years not going anywhere.  The last two years I went to St. Lucia and Jamaica.  Oh how I wish I were somewhere on a beach....... but I'm not.  So I'm working on school stuff and cleaning my house.  Maybe one more than the other. :)  By the way this ecard makes me laugh.

Because it's true.  This last Saturday it was 75 degrees, and on Sunday it was 35 and snowing.  Such a tease.

Back to school stuff.  I've been working on a syllable practice pack to do with my kiddos when we return to school.  It includes whole group practice, guided/independent practice pages, and centers work.  I have not added it to my TpT store yet because I would like someone to test it out.  That means one lucky person will get the pack for FREE.

Here are the rules:

1. Enter the giveaway

2. If you win the pack, please look it over and make sure it's usable and clear for you and your students

3. Give me feedback

4. If you have a blog, I'd love for you to blog about it

Here's where to enter.  The giveaway will end Thursday night.

Snow Day!

We have had three SNOW DAYS this week!  I'm sure some of you can relate with this big winter storm going through.  I haven't gotten a call from the district yet tonight, so it looks like we're going back tomorrow.  I have a love/hate relationship with snow days.  I'm just as excited as my kiddos to get them, but now I'm just getting kind of bored.  I need to get into my classroom to be any more productive at home than I've already been.  It's time to go back now.  I have to finish assessments.  I have to finish semester report cards.  I have to get caught up on some things.  But man, do I dread going back.  I'm sure the kids are going to be crazy!

So my plan is do some SNOW DAY activities tomorrow!  Since they'll be excited to share about what they did off school anyway.  I mean I haven't seen my kiddos in 19 days!  It's time to go back.  I made a Snow Day Graphing pack that we'll do tomorrow.  I just posted it in my TpT store.  And it's $1.00 off for the first 24 hours!  So get your copy now before tomorrow evening when it goes back to it's original price!  Click here or on the picture to see the product.

I'll try to post some pictures of my kids working on the graphs in the next few days.

I also recently finished some word work packs.

Fire Safety Reader {on sale}

Happy Monday!  I'm just popping in quick this morning to let you know about my new Fire Safety Emergent Reader set!  It has two different versions of an emergent reader, picture and word cards, and sentence cards.  So if you need something to help you teach your kiddos about fire safety, check out my set in my tpt store.  It's on sale today only!

Have a GREAT week!

I'm Back - Reading Rubric Freebie!

You may have been wondering what happened to me and why I've haven't blogged in two months!  Kindergarten.  Kindergarten happened to me.  I moved from second grade to Kindergarten this school year, and I have been CRAZY BUSY.  I always heard Kindergarten was in a world of it's own, and now I am in that world.  Less grading, more creating.  Less independent reading and writing, more directions. Repeat. Repeat. Repeat.  And the list continues.  The good news?  I really am loving it so far.

So in hopes that my readers will forgive me out there... here is a freebie!  I created this Independent Reading Rubric last summer and put it on my blog for free through email.  With this new school year, I have been getting a lot of requests for it, so I decided to spruce it up and offer it for free in my TPT store.

Click on the picture to get your free copy!  Then check out some of my other new products.
